What is Audit?
Audit is KPMG’s largest practice in the UK, which provides insight, challenge, and expertise to some of the world’s biggest companies. We examine organisations and ensure their published financial statements provide a true and fair view of their financial position.
KPMG Audit Graduate Programmes
Our graduates audit some of the world’s biggest companies from big retailers to UK banks and multinational organisations who rely on us to provide independent insight, opinion, and high-quality audit expertise. The work is both challenging and rewarding. You’ll benefit from our investment in tech-enabled solutions and have the supportive Audit community by your side, as you work on diverse and complex engagements.
The programme offers structured development opportunities and the chance to gain experience in different areas of the Audit practice. You’ll develop valuable skills, commercial understanding, and in-depth business knowledge, all of which will empower you to build an exciting and varied long-term career.
Training and Benefits
Over the three-year programme you’ll combine audit delivery and study towards a professional qualification – the ACA, of CA equivalent in Scotland.
We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits, including 25 days’ holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, each year you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.
Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the option of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in our offices or at the sites of the organisations we audit. We trust our people to be where they need to be, with our colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You’ll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work adaptably across our collaborative office spaces.
Some travel is likely for audit work, and because its seasonal, you should expect there to be busy times of the year.
Seeing the whole picture
As part of the Audit team, you will be building friendships and shared experiences, innovating, and learning together. KPMG is a place where you can be yourself and give your best – whoever you are and whatever your degree background. We look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values, and motivations. If you’re collaborative and good with people, that can be just as important as your ability to pick up key technical skills. See the specific programme page on our career’s website for entry requirements and our ‘How to Apply’ section for detailed application guidance.
