This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

Join ‘Team Tax’: straight-talking, collaborative and built for people who want to make an impact from day one. This is a place to learn fast, contribute early and keep moving forward. Tax is changing fast. From AI and global regulation to sustainability, private wealth and international growth, the decisions our clients make today have real consequences. That means the work you’ll do here actually matters.

Join our tax team on a 12-month paid placement as part of your sandwich degree course and gain practical experience working with real clients on real challenges. You’ll build technical expertise and turn complex tax rules into clear, practical advice. You won’t do it alone. In Team Tax, collaboration is just how we work. You’ll learn from people who’ve been where you are. They’ll help you to build confidence, ask questions and deliver your best.

Our specialist areas include VAT/indirect tax, employer solutions, private client services, corporate tax, innovation reliefs, transfer pricing, capital allowances and tax investigations, so there’s plenty of room to find where you fit. Please note the only areas available in this location are: Corporate Tax and VAT.

Whatever your specialism, you’ll be:

  • Working directly with clients and colleagues from day one on both compliance and advisory.
  • Building expertise across UK and international tax, supported by a globally connected team.
  • Developing the confidence, judgement and technical skills to become a trusted business adviser.
  • Using digital tools to work smarter and add more value for our clients.

What we're looking for:

We’re looking for under-graduates who are curious, motivated and ready to get involved. You don’t need to have studied tax before — we’ll give you the training, support and experience to build your career from day one. To be considered, you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), or 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
  • A predicted/obtained honours degree.
  • To be studying a sandwich degree or a degree where you can take a placement year.
  • An existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK.
  • A willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.

Your start date will be 14 September 2027. Start dates are mandatory – the training you receive from day one is designed to give you the best possible start to your career with us.

What we can offer you:

You’ll get structured training, professional qualifications and real client experience in a team where every voice is heard. We’ll support you to grow your technical knowledge, build commercial confidence and shape a career that feels like your own.

Learn through a mix of client work, structured training including paid study leave, time at college, mentoring and internal development programmes. Access lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits, including financial wellbeing support, that you can tailor to your needs. Perform well and you could be offered a role on one of our graduate training programmes when you finish your degree.

Please note we can only consider one application per person per recruitment cycle.
