We’re looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Mechanical & Electrical Engineering team in our Cardiff office as part of our 2026 Graduate Programme. You’ll help deliver sustainable projects for our communities, planet, and society. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team specialising in building services, energy, and sustainability. We get involved early, work collaboratively with design teams, guide design development, and use our expertise to help clients make key decisions—an approach that consistently results in buildings that deliver.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise in an exciting interdisciplinary environment. You’ll benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, with significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.

Your Role

  • Work on live projects from the start across a variety of sectors, including healthcare and education.
  • Undertake electrical services design and calculations using the latest software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM).
  • Develop scheme design concepts with supervision.
  • Use Revit and 3D BIM software for design production, including design coordination with other disciplines.
  • Produce detailed designs and drawings.
  • Contribute to, or develop, energy and sustainability strategies.
  • Participate in design team and client meetings.
  • Undertake site visits and surveys.
  • Research and implement new technologies.
  • Engage in continuous CPD and learning opportunities.
  • Typical work includes designing and creating electrical circuits, wiring, and lighting systems.

About You

Work Arrangement
