Your Role

We are looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to be based in Birmingham, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme. As a graduate, you will collaborate with your team and the wider Stantec community to deliver innovative solutions to high-profile clients, while developing your engineering expertise in a truly multidisciplinary and creative environment. You will work with some of the largest water clients in the industry and make a real difference in the communities we serve from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve engineering problems using established and innovative approaches.
  • Use design software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS) to carry out engineering calculations.
  • Develop designs and produce drawings, reports, and presentations.
  • Undertake site visits to collect and collate data.
  • Work as part of a friendly and collaborative project team with guidance from Senior and Principal Civil Engineers.

Professional Development & Support

You will be supported by dedicated mentors on your journey to Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). You can also learn more about our Water business line and the career journeys of our graduates through our internal resources and stories.
