Excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative & Driver to join our well-established client’s busy warehouse team.      Job Title: Driver and Warehouse Operative  Job Type: Full Time; Permanent Hours: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 17:00 & Friday 07:30 – 14:00 Salary: £28,680.00 - £30,000.00 per annum DOE Location: Barnstaple (delivering across Devon, Cornwall and parts of Somerset)    About the client and the role: A well-established client is a local business that provides industrial parts to the manufacturing and engineering industry. This role will combine warehouse operations, picking and packing orders the delivering to customers across Devon, Cornwall and parts of Somerset. You'll play a key part in both the efficiency of the warehouse and the quality of the customer experience. Key Responsibilities of the Driver & Warehouse Operative: High standards of customer service in every interaction Liaise with customers with updates regarding their order and delivery timeline Pick, pack, and deliver orders across a defined geographical area Building relationships with customers on every visit Be able to accurately interpret pick sheets Follow order sheets to pick the order from the warehouse Pack orders safely to ensure prevention of damage and breakage Manage stock checks and inventory to keep operations running smoothly Upsell items available in your assigned portfolio Requirements of the Driver & Warehouse Operative: Valid driving licence Over 25 years old – for insurance purposes Experience driving a 3.5 tonne van making deliveries Proven warehouse & logistics experience (picking, packing, and stock management) Customer service skills and experience Able to communicate clearly and professionally on site Ability to identify upsell opportunities Willingness to learn the product range to be able to answer customer questions Ability to work independently Strong time management skills to manage your time across a delivery route Warehouse or logistics qualification or on-the job experience (preferred) Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial sector (advantageous) Benefits for the Driver & Warehouse Operative: 25 days Holiday + Bank Holidays Competitive salary Company Pension Death in Service Great Working Environment Supportive Team    Cooper Golding is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
