The Role
This is a proactive business development position focused on generating new business through outbound sales activity, developing relationships with prospective clients and preparing high-quality tender submissions. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline and working closely with internal teams to secure new contracts.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business through proactive outbound telephone calls, email campaigns and networking.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective customers.
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing and emerging markets.
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across a range of industries.
- Arrange appointments and meetings with prospective clients.
- Prepare, coordinate and submit high-quality tender responses and commercial proposals.
- Follow up quotations and tenders to maximise conversion rates.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all activity within the CRM system.
- Achieve agreed business development targets and contribute to the company's growth strategy.
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in Business Development, Sales Executive, Internal Sales or B2B Sales.
- Confidence making outbound calls and generating new business.
- A proactive, resilient and results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- A high standard of written communication, with experience preparing tenders, quotations or commercial proposals being highly desirable.
- Good IT skills and experience using CRM systems.
- A full UK driving licence.
