Patterns shift:

  • Monday to Thursday: 6.00 am to 2.00 pm
  • Friday: 6.00 am to 11.00 am
  • Monday to Thursday: 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm
  • Friday: 11.00 am to 4.00 pm

What is the purpose of the Foundry Finisher? As a Foundry Finisher, you will be accountable for preparing castings for the heat treatment process and the final blast of components before their release into stock. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure our products meet the highest standards.

What are the responsibilities of the Foundry Finisher?

  • Precision Finishing: You will expertly knock out moulds to remove shells post the casting operation and perform water blasting of moulds to remove shell material, enabling the band saw operations to commence smoothly.
  • Skilled Cutting: Utilising a semi-automatic band saw, you will skilfully cut off castings and use a manual band saw to trim up casting gates, ensuring precise results.
  • Quality Assurance: After band saw operations are completed, you will meticulously remove residual shell material and finish casting gates flush, providing a seamless finish.
  • Rework Expertise: You will be responsible for the rework of castings, skilfully removing surplus shell and metal materials to meet exact specifications.
  • Uniform Matt Finish: Performing dry blasting of components, you will ensure a uniform matt finish, adding the perfect touch to the final product.
  • Team Collaboration: In line with our strong commitment to safety, you will follow strict health and safety guidelines, identifying and mitigating hazards to create a secure work environment. Working closely with your team members, you will uphold good team ethics and cooperation.
