Could you help shape the future of North Devon?
Great places don’t happen by accident. They need ideas, investment, partnerships and people who can make things happen. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Project Officer to join our Economic Development and Regeneration team on a permanent basis to help deliver an exciting programme of projects across North Devon.
This is much more than a desk-based project role. You’ll be helping to deliver projects that make a visible difference to our towns, businesses and communities. From finding new ways to boost town centre footfall and breathe life into vacant units, to engaging with local businesses, developing funding bids and supporting major regeneration schemes, you’ll be involved from idea through to delivery.
Following the success of Barnstaple’s Market Quarter regeneration, there’s plenty more to come, with future projects emerging from our regeneration vision alongside major schemes in Ilfracombe and across the district.
You’ll work closely with our Place Managers and collaborate with businesses, communities, partners, councillors and the public.
We’re looking for someone with excellent project management, research, organisation and report-writing skills who can confidently manage competing priorities and keep projects moving. You’ll also help identify funding opportunities and prepare bids, developing costings, project programmes and business plans to help turn great ideas into deliverable projects.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with people and seeing projects come to life, we’d love to hear from you.
If you would like to discuss the post before applying, please contact: Dominie Dunbrook – Place Manager, Economic Development and Regeneration – 01271 388372
