I am working with a major global investment institution that is establishing a significant investment presence in London and is seeking an exceptional senior investment leader to head its European platform.
This is a highly strategic appointment with responsibility for investment origination, strategic partnerships and senior institutional relationships across the UK and Europe.
The successful individual will work closely with the organisation's global leadership and investment teams, with access to significant long-term capital and a mandate to identify and develop major investment opportunities and partnerships across Europe.
The Role
The individual will:
- Lead the organisation's London and broader European presence
- Originate and develop significant direct investment and co-investment opportunities
- Identify opportunities across private equity, industrials, infrastructure, technology, real estate and other strategic sectors
- Develop relationships with leading corporates, private equity firms, institutional investors, family offices and financial institutions
- Build senior relationships across the UK and European government, policy and business landscape
- Work alongside global investment teams through the evaluation, structuring and execution of major transactions
- Develop strategic partnerships, joint ventures and co-investment relationships with leading international investors
- Provide senior-level market intelligence and help shape the organisation's European investment strategy
- Represent the institution with CEOs, boards, governments and other senior stakeholders
- Build and lead the London platform as the organisation continues to expand internationally
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly experienced investment leader, ideally with 20+ years of experience, who has built a significant career across European and international markets.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
Private Equity | Sovereign / Government Investment Funds | Pension Funds | Alternative Investment Management | Family Offices | Major Institutional Investment Platforms
Candidates should ideally demonstrate:
- A strong track record of direct investing and transaction execution
- Experience originating and leading significant investments
- Exposure across multiple sectors and investment strategies
- Strong understanding of the full investment lifecycle
- Senior leadership and Investment Committee experience
- An exceptional network across the European investment and corporate ecosystem
- The credibility to engage with CEOs, governments, institutional investors and other senior decision-makers
- Experience building businesses, investment teams or regional platforms
- Strong international and cross-border investment experience
