To drive forward the development of a well-established, £100m+ leading manufacturer, we are recruiting a Managing Director.
Main responsibilities:
- Reporting into a global corporation, the Managing Director will enjoy a high level of autonomy in the day-to-day running of this busy manufacturing plant.
- Whilst managing the demands of reporting into a global corporation and driving the vision and long-term strategic plans, the Managing Director will remain hands-on in their management of all functions, to include Operations, Engineering, HS&E, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, HR and IT.
- With an agile manufacturing process, the role is heavily Operations driven and supports Plant Management in driving efficiencies and fostering Continuous Improvement in Operations and Health and Safety.
The candidate profile:
- Ideally educated to degree level in Engineering or Business, you have gained significant Operations leadership experience in agile, process manufacturing environments.
- It is essential that you have experience leading, supporting and mentoring large teams across functions.
- Equally essential is the experience navigating the demands of a global corporation.
- A long-term strategic thinker, you are well-versed in change management and are accustomed to adapting your strategy and direction under changing macroeconomic factors.
- You are highly resilient, self-sufficient and pragmatic. You thrive on running businesses successfully through the engagement and development of people.
