Our client is a growing group of specialist products and services with operations across the UK and the US. They are now seeking to appoint an experienced and commercially minded Head of Finance to join the senior leadership team. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance will take ownership of the Group finance function across multiple entities, providing high-quality financial reporting, analysis and commercial insight to support the continued growth of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role with regular interaction with the Managing Director and shareholders.
The Role
- Lead and manage the Group finance function, including Purchase Ledger and Credit Control.
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, consolidated reporting and financial analysis.
- Partner with the Managing Director and leadership team to support strategic decision-making and financial planning.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial controls across multiple entities.
- Oversee stock reporting, margin analysis and financial oversight of international trading and exports.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a senior finance role such as Head of Finance or Finance Director within an SME or multi-entity business.
- Strong management accounting, reporting and forecasting experience.
- Exposure to international trading is essential, including export activity and foreign currency transactions.
- Experience working with modern finance systems, ideally Sage, and strong analytical capability.
- A proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded approach suited to a fast-paced SME environment.
