We have a new opportunity for a Technical Co-Ordinator to join the Ballistics team at Cooneen Protection, Fivemiletown on a permanent basis. The Technical Co-Ordinator will assist in the co-ordination of all sampling for tender and mobilisation, and administration of all documents to do with the provision of Personal Protective solutions undertaken by the Company for new and existing business.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor armour batch quality testing and organise relevant quality testing and customer/tender samples.
  • Create customer batch test reports and maintain all testing records.
  • Maintain and update armour specifications for all existing products.
  • Support contracts team with technical information.
  • Liaise with body armour standard bodies to certify new products and maintain existing armour accreditations in agreement with Head of Ballistics.
  • Create and maintain product declarations in support of certifying of new products in agreement with Head of Ballistics.
  • Create all tender submission packs to support tender bids and production documentation required to mobilise contracts in agreement with Head of Ballistics & mobilisation manager.
  • Liaise with the test houses and schedule external production lot and certification testing.
  • Support production team, Quality team with problem solving and product related queries along with Head of Ballistics.
  • Assess and evaluate design trends in the market and with competitors.
  • Attend meetings and participate as and when required.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
  • Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
  • Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Essential

  • A HND/degree or equivalent in engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Experienced in the use of full MS office suite.
  • Previous administration experience to include maintenance of record.
  • Experience of presenting technical information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Degree in a related field of engineering, mechanical, chemical, or product design.
  • Proficient in use of computerized design packages, eg CAD/ Illustrator/ Canva/ Photoshop.
  • Clean current driving licence.
