Cooneen Group are delighted to offer an opportunity for Placement within the Operations Improvement team of our Fivemiletown Production Facility. This is a 12 month fixed term post. The successful person will gain experience in the day-to-day operational activities of the business, projects and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Observe and measure production efficiency, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Conceptualizing and implementing appropriate changes.
- Communication with other departments such as sourcing/procurement, finance, design, and distribution.
- Problem solving, planning and organizing.
- Taking ownership of projects and seeing them through concept to completion.
- Administration tasks to document project progress.
Requirements:
- Essential: Working towards a degree in a relevant field, for example business, manufacturing, engineering, production, or a science or analytical related degree.
- Undertaking placement for the Financial year 2025.
- A passion for process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organization skills with an ability to prioritise.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Assertive and self-motivated with an ability to influence others.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel, to intermediate level for example pivot sheets.
- Desirable Criteria: Desire to work in the manufacturing or clothing/textile/fashion industry. Interest in Lean methodologies.
