We are recruiting an Assistant Accountant / Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the business on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension. This finance and accounts role includes responsibility for purchase ledger, accounts payable, invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and finance administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing Supplier Invoices
  • Resolve Supplier Queries
  • Prepare Supplier Payments
  • Maintain Accounting System
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Stock reconciliations, valuations and usage analysis
  • Posting and subsequent balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide backup purchase ledger, invoice processing or reconciliations

Able to work FT 5 days per week. Familiarity with accounting software or advanced Excel skills. Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, or reconciliations. Proven strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail. Possesses analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Desirable: Interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting.
