Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact on delivery sites for internal and external stakeholders with responsibility for COOMBES activity/works.
- Produce accurate scoping of works, working closely with the Works Manager to ensure delivery requirements are understood and communicated.
- Supervise, direct and motivate internal colleagues/external labour, providing clarity on tasks and problem-solving for efficient and effective delivery.
- Carry out risk assessments on site, highlighting potential hazards to the correct teams and departments.
- Deliver toolbox talks, task and SSOW briefings to the delivery team as required.
- Provide daily reporting of activity and completed works to the Project Manager.
- Undertake site audits and inspections, ensuring work is completed to the standards set out by job specifications, industry and company standards, policies and procedures (including quality and Health and Safety).
- Perform site duties such as COSS, PIC, operative and rep as required.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in a similar role within Vegetation Management/Rail.
- Experience in scoping and reporting works/delivery.
- Excellent understanding of, and application of, health, safety and environment practices.
- Full UK driving licence (with towing) – essential for a field-based role.
- Confident working with various tools and a good working knowledge of health and safety practices.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A natural ability to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail.
