The role is a mix of site visits, office-based with flexibility for some home-working. As our Project Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership, management, development, planning and delivery of COOMBES Vegetation and associated works.
As our Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and leading project review meetings with key stakeholders, reporting delivery milestones, deliverables, resource, budget, risks and quality management.
- Managing/coordination of direct labour and subcontractors to provide safe delivery of quality end-product with minimum risk to the environment.
- Assisting the preparation of PQQs, bids/tenders, including accurate pricing, cost control, etc. to ensure commercial success.
- Leading operational aspects of projects to include: CPPs (Construction Phase Plans), QMPs (Quality Management Plans), EMPs (Environmental Management Plans), & SWPs (Safe Working Procedures).
- Acting as Responsible Manager and CRE for projects.
To be successful as our Project Manager, we would ideally like you to have the following skills/experience:
- Demonstrable/lived experience within the Rail Vegetation sector.
- Proven experience managing and tracking contracts from tender through to completion.
- Thorough understanding of and experience in CRE roles and SHEQ duties.
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations.
- Recognised site safety management course (SMSTS) or equivalent.
- Success managing delivery teams.
- Experience in contract and subcontract commercial management.
- Significant knowledge of project management principles, methods and tools.
- Excellent understanding and application of HSE practices.
Due to the nature of this role and the travel involved, a full driving license is required.
