As our Vehicle Mechanic, you'll play an important role in keeping our team moving. You'll help ensure our fleet is safe, reliable and ready for work by carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics. In this hands-on role, you'll be supporting the smooth running of our Workshops and helping our people work safely and effectively every day.
- Help keep the Workshops running smoothly day to day, taking on tasks as needed.
- Carry out annual services across our fleet.
- Complete routine inspections and servicing to keep our vehicles in top condition.
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose issues and repair what you can on the spot or arrange recovery when that's the safest option.
- Visit sites when required to service or repair vehicles on location.
- Use repair manuals to identify the right parts and raise orders when replacements are needed.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using technical manuals where needed.
- Keep accurate digital and paper records, completing all documentation on time.
- Maintain clear, detailed service histories in line with company processes.
- Follow all required safety processes on site, including inductions, briefings and sign ins.
- Follow all safe systems of work and health, safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Repair (or equivalent).
- Confidence using digital systems and completing online records.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Adapts well to changing demands and is happy to help out where needed across the Workshop.
