The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
As our Arborist, you will be responsible for the safe removal and lineside clearance of vegetation and trees, supporting the transformation and maintenance of the UK's railway structure.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all works to high and safe standards, adhering to internal procedures and industry standards.
- Operating and maintaining all plant, tools and equipment necessary to complete work, ensuring a high standard of equipment care.
- Climbing on a regular basis providing aerial rescue support to the rest of the team.
- Working in line with risk assessments, task briefings and safe systems of work.
- Removing hazardous trees, planting vegetation and trees, and assisting with light fencing repairs.
- Responding sensitively and appropriately to queries from lineside residents, escalating as required.
To be successful as our Arborist, we would ideally like you to have the following skills/experience:
- Recent experience as an operative, within vegetation/a railway environment.
- PTS (Personal Track Safety).
