As our Arborist, you will be responsible for the safe removal and lineside clearance of vegetation and trees, supporting the transformation and maintenance of the UK's railway structure.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all works to high and safe standards, adhering to internal procedures and industry standards
- Operating and maintaining all plant, tools and equipment necessary to complete work, ensuring a high standard of equipment care
- Climbing on a regular basis providing aerial rescue support to the rest of the team
- Working in line with risk assessments, task briefings and safe systems of work
- Removing hazardous trees, planting vegetation and trees, and assisting with light fencing repairs
- Responding sensitively and appropriately to queries from lineside residents, escalating as required
To be successful as our Arborist, we would ideally like you to have the following skills/experience:
- Recent experience as an operative, within vegetation/a railway environment
- PTS (Personal Track Safety)
- Aerial Rescue
- CS30, CS31, CS32 Chainsaw
- Use of Brushcutter, Strimmer and/or Chipper

This role can be physically demanding, and some tasks will be at heights. You will be required to work outside from time to time, so you must be happy to work in all that the British weather has to offer.
