As our Project Manager, you'll play a central role in leading and delivering COOMBES Civils works. You'll guide your teams, support your colleagues and ensure our projects run safely, smoothly and to a high standard from start to finish. This is a role where your leadership, communication and problem solving skills will have a real impact every day.
In this role, you'll:
- Lead and coordinate project review meetings with stakeholders, keeping everyone updated on delivery milestones, progress, risks, resources, budgets and outputs.
- Manage and support both direct labour teams and subcontractors to ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal environmental impact.
- Support the preparation of PQQs, bids and tenders including accurate pricing, cost control and commercial forecasting to set projects up for commercial success.
- Take the lead on the operational aspects of your projects, including developing and overseeing CPPs, QMPs, EMPs and SWPs.
- Act as Responsible Manager and CRE on assigned projects, ensuring compliance and oversight across all technical and safety requirements.

- Practical, hands on experience within the Civil Engineering sector.
- Proven experience managing and tracking contracts from tender through to completion.
- A strong understanding of CRE responsibilities and SHEQ duties.
- Excellent working knowledge of CDM regulations.
- A recognised site safety management qualification (SMSTS or equivalent).
- A track record of successfully managing delivery teams.
- Experience in the commercial management of contracts and subcontractors.
- Solid knowledge of project management principles, methods and tools.
- Strong understanding and application of HSE practices.
