We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Creative iMedia who is passionate about their subject and committed to securing excellent outcomes for young people. You will have high expectations of what every student can achieve and the ability to inspire students through engaging, purposeful and challenging teaching.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for Creative iMedia and an interest in developments across digital media, technology and the creative industries. You will understand the importance of combining secure subject knowledge with opportunities for students to apply that knowledge through high-quality practical work.

You will set high expectations for behaviour, engagement and the quality of students’ work. You will be organised, dependable and committed to developing your practice through professional learning, collaboration and engagement with evidence-informed teaching. You will understand the importance of a carefully sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum that enables students to know more, remember more and apply their learning with increasing independence.

The role would suit an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with strong subject knowledge, high expectations and a commitment to continued professional development.

For the right candidate, there may also be the opportunity to take on additional leadership responsibility through a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) payment. We will explore this possibility with suitable candidates as part of the interview process, taking into account their experience, expertise and the contribution they could make to the continued development of the subject and wider academy.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent essential

Qualified Teacher Status essential

(PGCE) For those who do not have an education-focused undergraduate degree essential

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge

Understand the principles behind quality teaching and learning and their potential for raising standards for every child essential

Enthusiasm for continued professional development and a willingness to contribute to our community essential

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training will be provided). essential

Experience

Experience in teaching ICT, with a strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
