About the Role
Bring your love of language and literature to life! At Co‑op Academy Manchester, we are looking for an innovative Lead Practitioner in English (responsible for whole‑school reading) to engage students and foster a lifelong love of reading and writing. As a Lead Practitioner of English, you will help to implement and deliver an exciting, knowledge‑rich curriculum that is thoughtfully sequenced and informed by expert subject knowledge and the latest educational research. Together with the English team, you will support every child to achieve great outcomes and a lifelong love of reading and literature, and you will hold responsibility for whole‑school reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver the sequenced English curriculum.
- Support, train and mentor teachers in subject knowledge and lesson quality.
- Collaborate with the school team to keep the curriculum well‑organised and to promote reading across the school.
