Glenleigh Park Primary Academy is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher (Year 6) on a permanent basis to continue inspiring young minds. This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE), offering an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team. This role is unsuitable for ECTs.
As our Year 6 Teacher, you will play a vital role in preparing pupils for secondary school, delivering high-quality teaching that inspires, motivates and challenges learners to achieve their very best.

- Teaching experience in more than one school
- Demonstration of experience bringing about improvement in pupil outcomes

- Recent teaching experience
- Experience/Knowledge Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and National Primary Curriculum essential
- An understanding that safeguarding children is central to the role and can spot signs of abuse/neglect in children essential
- Ability to report on pupil progress (observations, assessments, parental reports) essential
- Recent primary teaching experience - either EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Experience working with outside agencies to support children's progress/well-being
- Experience of supporting children with limited verbal communication
- An understanding of the pedagogy of early reading and phonics, particularly Read, Write Inc.
- To have knowledge and a keen interest in leading a curriculum area
- Knowledge of reporting behaviour/safeguarding concerns on an electronic platform
Leadership:
- Ability to work effectively as part of the school team and with governors, trustees, pupils, guardians/carers, stakeholders and partners within, and beyond, the education sector essential
