Role Overview:
Coombe Fisheries is seeking an additional team member to support the operations administration team. You will help to provide support to the busy production and wider office teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of office and kitchen supplies ensuring sufficient stock is held
- Manage scallop cutting reports, league tables and communications in a timely manner
- Manage the local scallop sales
- Facilitate company Food Safety and Quality Policy
- Management of label confirmation, generation, communicating with production and customers
- Communicating with our sister company - PSL - to advise of orders that are complete and can be dispatched
- Collation and distribution of reports and information in a timely manner
- Manage the generation of pallet cards for both fresh & frozen products
- Generation of goods in and production work orders for the next day
- Complete daily plan using information from multiple sources
- Document Control for Work Orders once complete
- Work closely with the operations manager to organise production planning and staff numbers allocated to specific work areas
- Ensure all work orders are producing normal/sensible values and escalated when required
- Generation and delivery of analytical production data to the Senior Management Team
- Manage the pet food sales via telephone and email
- Oversee the management and control of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Support production of management processes and information
- Manage DHL bookings and collections
- Ad hoc project work, working alongside the production teams and directors
- Check cutting sheets for accuracy and report any issues to the senior operations coordinator
- Other administration and office duties as required
- Assist with administration and management of privately let properties
- Understand the basics of export paperwork to support the export team
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Highly experienced with using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and self-motivate
- A quick learner
- Can build relationships across all areas of the business
- The ability to operate under pressure during peak periods and meet deadlines
- A flexible and can-do approach
Desirable:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in administration or office duties
- Full driving licence
- Experience within fishing, seafood or marine industries
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive and organised
- Comfortable working with detailed operational information
- Confident communicating with operational staff and customers
- Capable of problem solving and resolving discrepancies
