CoolShock Events builds high-quality exhibition stands, brand activations, and travel retail installations — all produced in-house. We’re looking for a skilled Bench Joiner who takes pride in clean, accurate work and enjoys the pace and variety of the exhibitions world.
What you’ll be doing:
- Bench joinery for custom exhibition stands and event builds
- Reading drawings and working from briefs to build components accurately
- Cutting, assembling and finishing timber‑based structures and set pieces
- Working with the wider workshop team (carpentry, paint, print, install) to hit deadlines
- Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and organised in line with H&S standards
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a bench joiner / workshop joiner / carpenter
- Confident using workshop machinery and hand tools
- Ability to work accurately from technical drawings (or clear sketches/specs)
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finish quality
- Reliable, team‑first attitude with a “get it done properly” mindset
- Experience in exhibitions, events, shopfitting, set build, or bespoke joinery is a big plus
Nice to have (but not essential):
- Experience with laminates, trims, and fast‑paced custom builds
- CSCS (useful if you ever want to support on‑site installs)
