CoolShock Events builds high-quality exhibition stands, brand activations, and travel retail installations — all produced in-house. We’re looking for a skilled Bench Joiner who takes pride in clean, accurate work and enjoys the pace and variety of the exhibitions world.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Bench joinery for custom exhibition stands and event builds
  • Reading drawings and working from briefs to build components accurately
  • Cutting, assembling and finishing timber‑based structures and set pieces
  • Working with the wider workshop team (carpentry, paint, print, install) to hit deadlines
  • Keeping your workspace safe, tidy, and organised in line with H&S standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a bench joiner / workshop joiner / carpenter
  • Confident using workshop machinery and hand tools
  • Ability to work accurately from technical drawings (or clear sketches/specs)
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in finish quality
  • Reliable, team‑first attitude with a “get it done properly” mindset
  • Experience in exhibitions, events, shopfitting, set build, or bespoke joinery is a big plus

Nice to have (but not essential):

  • Experience with laminates, trims, and fast‑paced custom builds
  • CSCS (useful if you ever want to support on‑site installs)
