Monday to Friday - 3 Month Fixed Term contract

Are you a technically skilled CAD engineer, looking to enhance productivity and efficiency of process in a well-established company? We are looking for a CAD Engineer to join our team in the vehicle bodybuilding industry on a 3 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of custom vehicle bodies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Creating detailed CAD designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Generating a parts and materials list for customers to support both the sales quoting and the manufacturing processes.
  • Creating product Bill of Materials and structuring the build in a parent/child format.
  • Managing parts on the ERP/MRP database.
  • Developing engineering drawings and technical specifications for production, to minimise manufacturing downtime once the customer quote has been approved.
  • Collaborating with clients and internal teams to understand design requirements and constraints.
  • Ensuring all designs meet relevant regulations and are compliant.
  • Working closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
  • Assisting in product development and innovation for improved vehicle body designs.
  • Conducting design reviews, stress analysis, and material selection assessments.
  • Maintaining accurate design documentation and revision control.

This role will be a great fit for you if you have:
