Cool Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Driver Supervisor to work with our client's site based in Glasgow.

The role:

  • You will work closely with the management team to ensure the completion of next day deliveries.

Duties:

  • Induction and training of new recruits
  • Provision of relief cover during holidays and sickness for your driving team
  • Supporting the site management team to ensure the site LGV fleet is compliant with its O Licence obligations on a day-to-day basis
  • Various administration tasks to ensure you and your team complete your daily deliveries within Company guidelines
  • Deal with management issues that may affect your team on a daily basis to ensure all are able to perform to the best of their abilities
  • Make recommendations to the site Operations Manager to ensure the smooth and cost-effective operation of the site LGV fleet

The Person:

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Valid LGV 2 (Cat C) licence with Valid Drivers CPC & Digital Tacho Card
  • Forklift Licence would be advantageous, although this can be obtained through training
  • Be physically fit due to the nature of the role including heavy lifting
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
