Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant based in Guildford. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, assisting with budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Daily tasks include managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and providing support during audits. The Junior Accountant will also assist in the preparation of tax filings and financial forecasts.
The role covers both Cool Planet\’s UK and German entities. Candidates with strong English AND German written and spoken skills are preferred
Qualifications
- Basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with accounting principles and practices
- Experience with accounting software Xero and Approval Max
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Strong English AND German written and spoken skills
