We are Cooksongold, and we’ve been proudly supporting jewellers since 1918, with everything from precious metals to jewellery tools. We are part of HM Precious Metals, one of Europe\’s largest refiners and processors of precious metals.

Due to the continued growth of the business we are looking for an experienced and motivated buyer to join our newly centralised purchasing team.
As a member of our small friendly team you will play a crucial role in optimising our purchasing processes; sourcing and purchasing a diverse range of goods and services – ensuring best value in terms of price, quality and delivery.
This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about procurement and eager to make a significant impact on how the business procures its goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
As one of our buyers you will:
· Process requisitions and placement of purchase orders / contracts
· Research and identify potential suppliers to meet business needs or to improve product ranges for materials, goods, and services.
· Support in negotiating favorable terms and pricing to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
· Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align sourcing and procuring with their specific requirements.
· Monitor and analyze data to identify cost saving opportunities.
· Support in building and managing the annual contracting plan.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 2 years purchasing experience, ideally in a manufacturing, engineering or automotive environment. You will need an analytical mindset with excellent communication and negotiation skills. With a high attention for detail and excellent excel skills you will also have experience of ERP systems
