We are looking for an experienced Scrap Advisor to assist in the smooth running, booking in and management of precious metal customer scrap and to support the ongoing management of accounts in the Birmingham PMP Store. Your duties will include:
- Greeting customers and serving them in a timely manner.
- Daily administration and housekeeping tasks.
- All stock is treated with the greatest of care and control.
- Advice and guidance on products provided to customers.
- Processing of scrap purchases is efficiently dealt with, separating alloys and grades by weight.
- Processing incoming bullion from trade customers.
From time to time, you may be required to assist in other areas of the store. This may include:
- Preparing customer orders.
- Serving walk-in customers.
- Serving click & collect customers.
- Performing stock control duties (we have a full stock take twice per year).
To succeed in this role, you'll need previous experience in a customer-facing role, whilst being prepared to get involved in whatever it takes to get the job done. Previous experience with precious metals is advantageous, but not essential.
