We are currently recruiting for a highly organised Analytical Chemist with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. As our Analytical Chemist, you will provide prompt and accurate chemical analysis of precious metals. You will perform complex analysis involving Fire Assay, as well as instrumental methods, such as XRF, ICP-OES and Potentiometric Titration. You will carry out precision weighing and use high-temperature furnaces.
What youll need to bring to the show:
– A degree qualification in a chemistry-related discipline (or equivalent), and at least one years industry experience in a similar role (post qualification)
– Team Spirit – youll need to be prepared to get involved in whatever it takes to get the job done
– Strong attention to detail with the ability to also use initiative and work independently
– The ability to carefully carry out repetitive tasks requiring sustained concentration and dexterous skill
– A strong work ethic for a busy laboratory generating important data
– Maintenance of a clean and safe working environment
– General administration skills & computer literacy
