JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the team at an award-winning West African fine dining restaurant, awarded Michelin Opening of the Year 2026 and a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
As part of the kitchen team, you will support the chefs with daily preparation and service while maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the kitchen team with daily preparation and mise en place.
- Assist during service and ensure consistent food quality and presentation.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised.
- Support stock rotation and waste management.
- Learn and develop your culinary skills within a fine dining environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential.
- Passion for food and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Interest in West African ingredients, flavours and techniques.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
