We are a growing food manufacturing business looking for someone with strong attention to detail and excellent relationship skills to oversee all aspects of our new product development process.
You do not need to have specific food experience but a love of it will help!
Skills must also include numeracy, excellent attention to detail, an ability to think for yourself, be proactive and have a good sense of humour.
The role will involve managing a team of people to deliver new products that are commercially viable in a complex, fast paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing entire NPD process
- Kitchen plan – ensuring all samples are produced
- Recipes – ensure all recipes and methods are signed off prior to sample production, and all detail is captured and amended including cook configurations
- Ensuring new ingredients are captured and passed to relevant person to source
- Ensuring commercials are available and communicated to customer
- NPD Launch Document – managing detail for each product and pulling together from various departments across the business
- Overseeing handover of product to NPD Technologist
This role will also allow you to drive the development process from inception and brief to factory handover, whilst using your initiative to ensure that the New Product Development Launch process is brought together effectively.
