THE ROLE
We have a unique opportunity to join our Business Support Department where you will become a key player in a diverse role that offers variety, responsibility, and real impact. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across all our Orkney operations, where you\’ll help drive excellence and continuous improvement by supporting various Business Support departments. You will be based at our Orkney office in Hatston although you will be required to undertake site visits as and when required. Whilst a background in aquaculture is advantageous full training will be given to the right candidate.
Key duties will include, but not limited to:
- Deliver both onsite and remote support for farming and processingoperations, with a focus on sustainable practices and safe workingenvironments.
- Ensure adherence to relevant accreditationstandards, legislative requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret operationaldata, producing reports to inform continuous improvement and compliance.
- Conduct and support internal audits acrossfarming and processing activities, including Health & Safety inspectionsand compliance checks.
- Support and facilitate external auditsacross operational sites, ensuring readiness and timely resolution of findings.
- Monitor and assess integrated managementsystems to ensure ongoing compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health& Safety standards.
- Identify Technical and Health & Safetyissues, contributing to effective, practical, and sustainable solutions.
- Track and follow up on audit findings,accident reports, and statutory inspections to ensure timely closure andlearning.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in variable weather and boarding vessels.
- Full UK driving licence required.
