THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a Seawater Support Assistant to support our seawater operations across Orkney.
You will support a range of practical duties across our seawater sites, including site service, net washing, fish husbandry, grading, harvesting and site maintenance.
The role will involve overnight stays, either on a vessel or in company accommodation.
The successful candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude and work well as part of a well-established, dedicated team.
In this fast-paced environment, you will help provide safe and caring conditions for our farmed salmon.
This role is particularly suited to individuals who enjoy working outdoors in a marine environment, are passionate about animal welfare, and are flexible to meet the needs of our fish.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an ML5 Medical Certificate.
- First Aid certificate.
- Day Skipper or Advanced Powerboat certificate.
- Candidates must be flexible with working hours and days.
- A mechanical/engineering aptitude is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
