Responsibilities
- Use your knowledge of our food to ensure that all components of the dish are of the correct specification and high quality.
- Sign off all relevant paperwork and ensure information on Unity (internal database) has been inputted correctly.
- Communicate effectively with the team to keep everyone updated on new products and team targets.
- Ensure that all members of your team (including agency workers) are trained in all aspects of their role, including machinery, health and safety, and all relevant work instructions.
- Organise team workload, review frequently, and liaise with your team and other departments to ensure optimal utilisation of staff and equipment.
- Update the Head Chef regularly on the team's progress and raise any concerns promptly.
- Lead the team and conduct necessary 1:1 meetings, demonstrating fair and consistent leadership and living by our essential ingredients.
- Possess strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working within a kitchen and fast‑paced environment.
- Experience of working with food.
