Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality pies and pastries according to set recipes and production schedules.
  • Prepare and work with various doughs, fillings, and pastry types.
  • Ensure consistent portioning, shaping, and finishing of products.
  • Operate production equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain strict food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets.
  • Assist in product development and trialling of new recipes when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a pastry chef, baker, or in pie/pastry production (factory or bakery environment).
  • NVQ Level 1 and 2 (or equivalent in catering).
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and pie-making techniques.
  • Ability to efficiently manage your section of the kitchen.
  • Ability to work to high-volume production targets without compromising quality.
  • Attention to detail and pride in product presentation.
  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends if necessary.
