Join our Cook family in our Technical Team as Food Safety Technologist
Monday – Friday Flexible working from 7.00am – 8.00pm (core hours 7.45am to 4pm) with flexibility
Roles and Responsibilities
Implement into all kitchen areas the standards by which the Company operates and seek to raise them continuously.
Assist in the maintenance of the Food Safety Management, Health & Safety and HACCP systems, working closely with the Technical, Operational and Maintenance teams
Maintain up to date documents and control the management of record keeping
Support the management of process information, recipe and product standards to validate all processes and procedures
Investigate non-conformances and support the trouble shooting and assist with the identification of root cause
Assist in scheduling and organisation, of pest control, laundry and calibration functions
Carrying out internal, safety, hygiene and GMP audits and schedule the product and environmental, allergen and microbiological testing
Investigate of internal, supplier, customer complaints – implementation of corrective and preventative actions
Periodically trending the audit, testing, GMP results and monitor KPI to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Reviewing internal toolbox talks, risk assessments and operational practices
A key member of the food safety team, regularly assist at food safety huddles, meetings, training team members on systems and procedures in place
What you will need to succeed
At least two years experience of working within the food manufacturing sector
Ideally, knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems
Preferable qualification in Food Technology or similar (training will be given)
Excellent computer and communication skills
