Location: Sittingbourne, Kent – COOK Pies and Pastry

Hours: Sunday Thursday 2pm-10pm

Pay rate: £27,300 per year / £14.00 per hour

The Mix and Weight department is where all cooked food items are carefully handled before moving on to the next stage. Precision and consistency are essential to maintain product quality and food safety.

The Role

  • Accurately follow recipes and mixing instructions
  • Ensure all ingredients are cooked, cooled, and handled at correct temperatures before mixing
  • Monitor and manage cooking and cooling times to meet food safety standards
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks
  • Support the kitchen team when required
  • Liaise effectively between the kitchen and finishing departments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the work area

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely
  • Good understanding of cooking processes, including cooking times, cooling times, and temperature control
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
