Working hours: 3 days a week, preferably Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am–5:00pm. (Some flexibility with hours)

Salary - £30K - £32K pro rata (24hrs per week) - Depending on experience

Location: Based at our Sittingbourne HQ three days a week, with occasional travel to partner sites and external events.

About the Role

Our pioneering RAW Talent Programme (RAW stands for Ready And Working), supports people with barriers into sustained employment at COOK. This might be due to criminal convictions, time in prison, homelessness, mental ill-health, neurodiversity, or refugee status. Finding a steady job, and an understanding employer, can be virtually impossible. Yet it is often one of the most important factors in helping someone get back on their feet. Since we started RAW Talent in 2014, we have supported over 250 people through the scheme, learning a huge amount along the way.

At COOK, we’re searching for a compassionate, people-focused Co-ordinator to support our RAW Talent programme. This role plays a key part in supporting both existing and potential RAW Talents, providing day-to-day guidance, encouragement, and practical support throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will support the RAW Talent programme by helping oversee the day-to-day running of COOK’s flagship Social Impact programme, ensuring RAW Talents and those who work with us, receive consistent guidance, support, and encouragement by:
  • Buddying RAW Talents, regularly checking in with RAW Talents during their first four months.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for RAW Talents as questions or issues arise.
  • Lead on admin duties, sorting out the coordination, and ensuring the smooth running of the programme.
  • Manage the RAW Talent inbox, responding promptly and helpfully to a wide range of enquiries.

You’ll also support on:

  • Recruitment and Referrals: Liaising with existing partners and coordinate chats, ensuring smooth scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Internal and external communications: Assist with communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Delivery of Work Ready training: Support the planning and delivery of training sessions for RAW Talents.
  • Kitchen Manager meetings and check-ins: Support our people who are leading RAW Talents.
  • Internal updates: Contribute to internal updates, engage colleagues with COOK’s purpose (Nourishing People & Planet) and the actions we are taking to deliver it.

  • Training/facilitation experience. You have experience delivering training, facilitating sessions, or are willing to give it a try to help the RAW Talents build skills and confidence.
