The Endovascular Planning Specialist 1 is responsible for the planning of Custom Made and Zenith endovascular stent grafts under agreed instructions from physicians who are familiar with the requested endograft.
Responsibilities
- Independently review digital images with a view to planning an appropriate endovascular graft.
- Independently plan Custom Made and standard Zenith grafts.
- Review and plan complex Custom Made grafts, with supervision (for example, Arch devices, Inner Branch devices).
- Work proactively and efficiently and contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the planning service and achieving the team's operational targets.
- Complete all administrative duties to a high standard, independently.
- Resolve customer and colleague queries, with support.
- Consistently meet expectations and goals for quality and quantity of cases planned.
- Liaise with referring physicians and Cook field teams to ensure the most appropriate graft design is agreed upon for treatment of the patient.
- Attend and actively participate in Planning Meetings for group discussion on cases and communicate with the referring physician and wider Cook team.
- Work collaboratively with the global Cook Medical Planning Centres and planning team colleagues.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and Cook colleagues.
- Support training workshops with Planning and Sizing presentations/didactic sessions which are run at the Planning Centre, at centres throughout the region or virtually.
- Support the Regional Training Coordinators to develop the technical skills and knowledge of the sales and clinical teams.
- Participate in improvement projects in collaboration with Planning Centre leadership, as required; evaluate and improve the execution of tasks by listening to and acting on feedback from customers, colleagues and leadership.
- Provide support and guidance to planning team colleagues in planning and sizing techniques.
- Attend procedures in a clinical setting where there is ionising radiation (x-ray).
- Moderate travel representing Cook and the Planning and Sizing Service at conferences, congresses, workshops and events.
- Comply with travel and subsistence rules and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure that COOK's Code of Conduct is complied with in all business matters carried out on COOK's behalf.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months Cook experience using DICOM Workstations (essential).
- Training skills (desirable).
- Continuous Improvement β white belt trained (desirable).
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Highly organised with an attention to detail.
- High self-motivation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Approach daily tasks with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm.
- Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
- Ability to apply acquired knowledge to make informed treatment decisions.
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast-paced situations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to attend workshops or conferences outside normal working hours or on weekends.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
- Must be proficient in English oral and written communication skills.
- Must maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Qualified Radiographer/Medical Image Technician (or equivalent qualification) with CT imaging experience (desirable).
