The Associate Endovascular Planning Specialist is responsible for the planning of Custom Made and Zenith endovascular stent grafts under agreed instructions from physicians who are familiar with the requested endograft.

Responsibilities

  • Review digital images with a view to planning an appropriate endovascular graft, under close supervision.
  • Plan custom made and standard Zenith endografts, under close supervision.
  • Consistently meet expectations and goals for quality and quantity of cases planned.
  • Complete all administrative duties to a high standard, under close supervision.
  • Resolve customer and colleague inquiries, with support.
  • Liaise with referring physicians and Cook field teams to ensure the most appropriate graft design is agreed upon for treatment of the patient.
  • Attend Planning Meetings for group discussions on complex cases and communicate with referring physicians and the Cook team.
  • Work collaboratively with planning team colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and Cook colleagues.
  • Support training workshops with Planning and Sizing presentations/didactic sessions which are run at the Planning Centre, at centres throughout the region, or virtually.
  • Improve the execution of tasks by actively listening to feedback from customers, colleagues and leadership.
  • Attend procedures in a clinical setting, where there is ionizing radiation (x-ray).
  • Attend meetings, conferences or workshops (some travel is required).
  • Comply with travel and subsistence guidelines and submits expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with COOK’s Code of Conduct in all business matters carried out on COOK’s behalf.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Radiographer/Medical Image Technician (or equivalent qualification) with CT imaging experience (desirable).
  • Experience with CT workstations (desirable).
  • Experience using TeraRecon or similar viewing software (desirable).
  • Training skills (desirable).
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Power Point and Word).
  • Must be highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-motivated problem solver.
  • Must approach daily tasks with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm.
  • Must have the ability to follow instructions and take direction.
  • Must have the ability to apply acquired knowledge to make informed decisions.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
  • Must have the ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations.
  • Must be willing to attend workshops or conferences outside normal working hours or on weekends.
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
  • Must be proficient in English oral and written communication skills.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
