The continued growth of Cook Brothers has created an opportunity to join an expanding commercial team. This role plays a key part in tendering, client relationships, contract management, and supporting the ongoing expansion of the business. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will contribute to high-quality project delivery and be part of a team building for the long term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective leadership on commercial strategies, sharing expertise in methodology and buildability.
  • Contribute to buildability and methodology within the Pre-Construction team.
  • Prepare tender and construction programmes.
  • Support tender win strategies and pitch presentations to clients, including post-tender interviews.
  • Maintain and leverage existing networks and develop new relationships to support business growth.
  • Participate in pricing solutions to ensure value for both clients and Cook Brothers Construction.
  • Identify and foster a network of preferred clients for Cook Brothers Construction.
  • Develop and implement tender win strategies and commercial policies to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Engage early with contractors during tender preparation.

About You

We are looking for someone who is ready to join us on the next stage of our journey. You will have strong technical writing and communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key industry stakeholders. Proven project management experience, strong negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of the construction industry and its key drivers, will enable you to consistently deliver results.

Your solid experience across Project Management, Site Management, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management, combined with a Business Degree or Diploma in construction, will pair perfectly to help you succeed in this role. Confidence in leading and motivating teams, while contributing positively to a collaborative and high-performing environment, is key. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Project and Word is required, along with clear and professional written and verbal communication. Experience with CmBuilder would be an advantage.
