Lead with Purpose – Join Our MIX AND WEIGH team! Our Mix & Weigh team are the step between cooking and dishing and the step that ensures our customers' food is safe and other teams' workflow doesn’t stop. By safeguarding our products, monitoring chill times and doing the final checks before dishing, you help create our Remarkable products. Not only that, you provide a service that ensures our customers get consistency every time they enjoy our delicious food.
Must have experience of working with food.
The Role:
- Use your knowledge of our food to ensure that all components of the dish are of the correct specification and high quality.
- Sign off all relevant paperwork and ensure information on unity (internal database) has been inputted correctly.
- Communication is key. Ensure that you keep your team up to date with new products coming through the kitchen and team targets are communicated – everyone needs to be working towards the same goal.
- You must ensure that all members of your team (including agency workers) are trained in all aspects of their role. This includes all machinery, health and safety, and all relevant work instructions.
- Organise the team’s workload, review frequently and liaise with your team and other departments to ensure the best utilisation of staff and equipment.
- Update the Head Chef regularly on the team’s progress and raise any concerns you have without unnecessary delay.
Team Leadership: Develop good relations through fair and consistent leadership. Conduct all necessary 121 meetings with your team whilst continually showcasing and living by our Essential Ingredients.
Good to Have:
- Good communication skills.
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering would be great, but not essential.
- Experience of working within a kitchen and fast-paced environment.
