Are you an experienced Commercial Property lawyer? Coodes LLP is seeking an ambitious, client‑focused senior lawyer who is looking to continue their career aspirations and goals within one of the South West’s most respected regional law firms. We are looking for an established partner or an ambitious Senior Associate. The firm will work with you to build a clear business plan, provide a platform to grow your practice, help you set realistic objectives and give you the support and resources to succeed.

You will join our highly regarded Commercial Property team, acting for a wide range of clients including developers, investors, landowners, commercial landlords and tenants, and agricultural businesses. This is a key strategic appointment, offering a clear pathway to Partnership for the right candidate.

What you will do:

  • You will have the opportunity to work on a spectrum of high‑quality matters including:
    • Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
    • Commercial leases and landlord/tenant work
    • Corporate support on transactional matters
    • Agricultural and rural land issues
    • Strategic property advice for long-standing, loyal clients

Experience and Qualifications you need:

  • Minimum 5 years PQE in Commercial Property, or 7 years fee earning
  • Experience managing your own desk and client relationships
  • Strong communication and commercial awareness

The team advises a wide range of clients, including developers, landowners, parish councils, investors, commercial landlords and tenants, and private clients, on matters such as acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development land, and agricultural property transactions.

Location: We are open to discussion regarding which of our eight locations best suits you. In addition to our offices, the firm aims to enable as many staff as possible to incorporate an element of remote work into their working week if they so wish.

Hours: This is a full-time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
