We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our specialist Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence department, supporting clients across Cornwall and Devon and playing an important part in the continued growth of one of the region’s leading law firms. Our multi award‑winning Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence team provides a personal, bespoke service to clients at some of the most difficult moments in their lives.

The purpose of the role: In this role, you will be an important first point of contact for clients who are often facing one of the most difficult periods of their lives. You will help ensure every enquiry is handled with care, professionalism and efficiency, supporting the team to deliver an excellent client experience from the very beginning.

What you will do:

  • Act as the first point of contact for new enquiries, gathering key information and ensuring matters progress efficiently.
  • Support fee earners with casework, client communication, and document preparation, alongside routine administration and file management.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver a high standard of service and assist with marketing and business development activities.

Experience and Qualifications you need:

  • Experience in personal injury or clinical negligence is beneficial but not essential, and full training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, excellent client care, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential.
  • Experience with case management systems is desirable.

Location: Ideally Falmouth although we are open to discussion regarding which of our eight locations best suits you. In addition to our offices, the firm aims to enable as many staff as possible to incorporate an element of remote work into their working week if they so wish.

Hours: This is a full time position. 35 hours a week Monday to Friday however we welcome applications from candidates looking for alternative working arrangements.
