Responsibilities
- Ensure that the support provided is of the highest standard, complies with all regulatory requirements, and that standards are consistently met through support of care staff and management.
- Deploy, mentor and supervise front‑line staff, providing guidance to maintain high quality care.
- Offer practical and emotional support to residents, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, medication administration, independence maintenance, hobbies, and life skills.
- Communicate regularly with residents, families, friends, and other care professionals including GPs and social workers.
- Work as part of a team to maintain and improve residents' wellbeing, reporting any concerns to managers.
- Provide training to staff; some hours worked will be at an enhanced hourly rate, with further opportunities for additional hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Empathy and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional care.
- Good communication skills in English (essential); written English is essential and Welsh language ability is desirable.
- Commitment to safeguarding, with a required Disclosure & Barring Service check.
