What the Job Involves

  • The role involves providing professional accountancy services to Senior Managers for various services within the Council.
  • You will assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and control of central support budgets.
  • Your duties include offering financial advice, supporting budget planning, conducting regular meetings with budget managers, and assisting in account closure at the end of the financial year.
  • You will support treasury management and bank reconciliation processes, aid the Insurance and Tax Manager in compliance issues, and coordinate financial/numeric returns for the Welsh Government.
  • You'll liaise with audits, coordinate responses to information requests, and update relevant financial data on internal and external websites.
  • The role requires establishing strong working relationships, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, and contributing to a safe and inclusive workplace.
