The hours of work will be approximately 25 hours per week, and the post will be G03 PR 6 - 7 £14,877.57 - £15,597.48 per annum (£13.47 - £13.69 per hour). We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Cook‑in‑Charge to lead the catering service at Ysgol Betws yn Rhos, delivering nutritious, high‑quality meals that support the wellbeing of pupils, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities:

  • Organise, prepare and serve food at lunchtime for the students, staff and visitors of Ysgol Betws yn Rhos.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training for new cooks and colleagues.
  • Cook the meals required, control portion sizes, supply food service, order supplies, wash up and clean the kitchen and dining room.
  • Be prepared to undergo appropriate training and development (sometimes outside normal working days/hours by prior arrangement), e.g. Intermediate Food Hygiene and Basic Nutrition.
  • Perform associated clerical duties.
