We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our close knit, supportive team within the Vulnerable People’s Service, as a full-time Section Manger.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a social care setting, working across Children’s and Adult’s services. You will have oversight of all transition work for care leavers, in addition to overseeing the Deputy’s Unit and DoLS team who support some of our most vulnerable people in the community. You will work in partnership with other service areas and stakeholders using a collaborative and person-centred approach with a strong focus on progression and outcome-focused planning.

The role will lead and support our Team Managers and practitioners to meet the Council’s duties under the Social Services and Wellbeing Act 2014, ensuring that people have the right support at the right time. The successful candidate will be proactive in looking at new ways of addressing issues to promote best practice. Strong communication, organisational and partnership working skills are essential, along with a compassionate and person-centred approach

You will be supported through regular formal supervision and a range of ongoing development opportunities, alongside a strong team ethos that values support, learning and professional growth.

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidates will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
